ROBERT STEELE+Lethbridge, AB
Robert+ is currently serving as Overseer of Corpus Christi and Head of Leadership Development for Via Apostolica in Lethbridge, AB. He has been involved in Corpus Christi since its inaugural year in 2010 as a teacher, phase pastor, small group pastor, and now, Overseer.
Robert+ is responsible for the training and support of Phase Pastors, implementation of Corpus in local congregations, determining Corpus Christi's content, and many other administrative duties. Robert+ does this with the help and support of a fantastic group of people who volunteer countless hours for the program.
AMOS MARTELAmos is a deacon at Via Church Lethbridge and teaches a handful of Corpus classes each year with an emphasis on living out the mission of Jesus in everyday life.
JAMES SCHALKLethbridge, AB
James is a teacher in Lethbridge, Alberta and serves as the Via Camp director for Via Apostolica. James longs to see the church understand their adoptions as sons and daughters and works to help teach and train christians into this truth.
CHAD BLOCK+Vancouver, BC
Chad Block resides on Vancouver Island, Canada with his wife Janna and presently serves as pastor at Via Apostolica Comox Valley. Chad, together with that community are ever seeking to respond to Christ’s invitation to ‘come and see that the Lord is good.’
STEPHEN BARBOUR+Stephen+ is a priest at Via Church Lethbridge and has been involved in Corpus in a teaching capacity, throughout all its phases, since 2010. Stephen+ is currently working on his MA in OT Theology and loves Teaching on the redemptive story and the grace of our Lord throughout the whole of Scripture.
RYAN MATCHETT+Lethbridge, AB
Ryan is a priest in Via Apostolica and has worked on staff at Via Lethbridge since 2008. He is also the founder of Corpus Christi, where he took Via Lethbridge's School of Discipleship and Leadership and transformed it into what we now know as Phase I.
Over the years of teaching and training he lived out his passion, which is to see the people of God come into a trustful reliance on Jesus Christ. He lives to see the message of the gospel go out to transform the people of God into living breathing examples of Jesus, the Son of God.
NICO DESCHNER+Regina, SK
Having pastored extensively in BC and Alberta, Nico is now excited to serve as Lead Pastor of Via Apostolica Regina. Nico’s passion and love for Jesus are contagious and he continually propels others to live in the fullness of God’s calling and destiny on their lives. He wants to see Jesus’ prayer fulfilled: “Your Kingdom come and your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” In so doing, Nico’s great desire is to help raise mature Disciples of Jesus Christ who pursue God’s dream – a glorious church, which reflects Him authentically on this earth.
JORDAN DUNCANLethbridge, AB
Jordan is the Youth Pastor at Via Lethbridge. His heart is to see young people live passionately for God as they spread his Kingdom across the world.
He has a passion for seeing all Christians come into a deeper revelation of who God his, what his redemptive story as seen through the sctiprures.
LAWRENCE KOPP+Comox Valley, BC
Lawrence is currently pastoring Via Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. His journey to thepriesthood is a winding path that began 30 years ago in a missions training program. Fromthere, the path led to one year as a youth pastor, followed by a detour of 17 years working inthe provincial government and then took a surprising turn back to the pastorate, serving forseven years as Executive Pastor at Via Lethbridge, before moving to Vancouver Island. Thisjourney is a story of redemption and rescue, for which Lawrence is extremely grateful. In spiteof his determination to run away from ministry, God never stopped pursuing his heart.Lawrence’s life has been transformed by the truths of a good gospel and a Father who inviteshim to continually receive his place as a beloved son. Lawrence and Wanda are blessed withtwo married daughters, two amazing grandkids and a number of spiritual sons and daughters.
AMY BRAUNLethbridge, AB
Amy has been involved in Corpus from its early beginnings, first as student and small group pastor, and in recent years as the Phase 1 Pastor for Via Lethbridge. She is passionate about seeing the gospel transform lives, something that never gets old year after year! As well as leading students into experiencing the goodness of Jesus, she loves getting to equip small group pastors and fellow phase pastors with tools to help theological truth become real, relevant, and life transforming at a heart level.
MELINDA APPENHEIMERVancouver, BC
Melinda has been part of Corpus Christi as a student and small group leader, beginning in 2010. It was her privilege to be a student in the pioneer year of each phase in Lethbridge, making a way for others while walking her own path. She’s now a phase pastor for Phase I at Via Vancouver.
Before making Via her church home, Melinda participated in many other discipleship programs. It’s always been in her heart to pursue Jesus in deeper ways, and to build meaningful connections with other people. Corpus Christi gives opportunity for high-quality discipleship, with a focus on identity and healing, in the context of the students’ local body. These elements combine to make Corpus the kind of discipleship journey Melinda felt was lacking in her prior experiences.
Melinda believes her primary calling is to the church, for the freedom and equipping of the saints; Corpus Christi is one expression she’s delighted to take part in.
Trevor JameusCalgary, AB
Trevor Jameus is the Lead Pastor of Via Calgary, is a graduate of Corpus Christi and leads Phase II as their Phase Pastor. Trevor is currently working towards a MDiV at Briercrest College and works as a tattoo artist at Ascending Koi tattoo in Calgary.
Trevor was radically transformed from a life of addiction to a life sold out for Christ.

Stacy Froese is a graduate of Corpus Christi and has been in almost every role of the program thus far. Student, small group pastor and now Phase II pastor in Lethbridge, AB.
Stacy longs to see the church living out its mission in the world.
Colton WhelptonVancouver, BC
Colton is a graduate of Corpus Christi, has worked as small group pastor and phase pastor for a number of years in Lethbridge, AB. This year he moved to Vancouver to attend Regent College and is now functioning as Phase II pastor in Vancouver.
JEREMY KOOTLethbridge, AB
Jeremy was part of the first class of Corpus Christi in 2010 and over the past seven years has been involved as a student and a small group pastor. Along with his wife Chanel he is currently the Phase III pastor.
Jeremy is passionate about working with and training leaders to be mature disciples and builders of Christ's Church.
BRETT & MARIANNICK KROEKERComox Valley, BC
Brett and Marriannick are the phase pastors of Corpus Christi Phase I at Via Comox Valley. They are recent transplants to Vancouver Island and have loved becoming a part of the Via community in the Comox Valley. Brett and Mariannick love the outdoors and can often be found exploring their island home.
